Honda Pilot: Rear Map Light Removal, Installation, and Test

Removal/Installation

1. Rear Map Light - Remove

Rear Map Light: 5W

1. Carefully pry off the lens (A).
2. Remove the bulb (B).
3. Remove the rear map light housing cover (C).
4. Remove the rear map light housing (D).
5. Disconnect the connector (E).

2. All Parts Removed - Install

1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

   NOTE: Replace the clip (A) with a new one.

Test

1. Rear Map Light - Test

NOTE: When doing the rear map light test, make sure to install the bulb correctly.

1. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table.

2. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the bulb or the rear map light (A).
