Honda Pilot: Remote Transmitter Care
Replacing the Remote Battery
If the indicator light does not illuminate when you press the
button, it's time to replace the battery. Follow these steps to
replace the battery in your Honda Pilot remote:
- Locate the Battery Compartment
- On the back of the remote, find the small
compartment that houses the battery. This is usually secured
with a small screw or a snap-on cover.
- Open the Compartment -
Use a small screwdriver or coin to open the battery
compartment. Be gentle to avoid damaging the remote.
- Remove the Old Battery -
Carefully take out the old battery. Note the orientation of
the battery to ensure proper installation of the new one.
- Insert the New Battery -
Place the new battery into the compartment, ensuring it is
oriented correctly. The positive (+) side should face up.
- Close the Compartment -
Secure the compartment cover back in place, ensuring it
snaps shut or the screw is tightened.
- Test the Remote -
Press the button to ensure the indicator light comes on,
confirming the new battery is functioning.
If the remote still doesn't work, consult your vehicle's
manual or contact your Honda dealer for further assistance.
