Removal
NOTICE
Do not spill brake fluid on the vehicle; it may damage the paint. If brake fluid gets on the paint, wash it off immediately with
water.
NOTE:
- Be careful not to damage or deform the brake lines during removal.

To prevent the brake fluid from dripping, plug and cover the hose ends and joints with a shop towel.
- The yaw rate-acceleration sensor is built into the VSA modulator-control unit.
- Do not damage or drop the VSA modulator-control unit as it is sensitive.
- Do not use power tools when remove the VSA modulator-control unit.
1. VSA Modulator-Control Unit - Remove

- Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- Disconnect the 10 mm brake lines (A).
- Disconnect the 12 mm brake lines (B).

- Disconnect the connector (A) by pushing the lock (B) and
pulling up the lever (C); the connector disconnects itself.

- Remove the VSA modulator-control unit (A) with the
bracket (B).
2. VSA Modulator-Control Unit Bracket - Remove

- Remove the modulator bracket (A) from the modulator sub
bracket (B).
- Remove the VSA modulator-control unit (C) from the
modulator sub bracket.
Installation
NOTICE

- Do not damage or drop the VSA modulator-control unit as it is sensitive.
- Do not use power tools when installing the VSA modulator-control unit.
1. VSA Modulator-Control Unit Bracket - Install

- Install the VSA modulator-control unit (A) to the modulator
sub bracket (B).
- Install the modulator bracket (C) to the modulator sub
bracket.
2. VSA Modulator-Control Unit - Install

- Install the VSA modulator-control unit (A) with the bracket
(B).

- Align the connecting surface of the VSA modulator-control
unit connector (A).
- Pull down the lever (B) of the VSA modulator-control unit
connector, then confirm the connector is fully seated.

- Connect the brake lines.
NOTE: Brake lines are connected to the master cylinder
(A), the right-rear (B), the left-front (C), the right-front (D),
and the left-rear (E) brake systems.

5. VSA Sensor Neutral Position - Memorize
6. Steering Angle Sensor Neutral Position - Clear
7. Longitudinal G Sensor - Learn (With i-VTM)
