Removal/Installation
NOTE:

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before
doing repairs or service.
- Special Mag-Form self-tapping bolts are used to attach the dashboard to the steering hanger beam. If a Mag-Form bolt
hole is stripped, oversize bolts are available.
1. Battery Terminal - Disconnect
NOTE: Wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.
2. Both A-Pillar Trims - Remove
3. Both Dashboard Side Lid - Remove
4. Driver's Dashboard Lower Cover - Remove
5. Passenger's Dashboard Undercover - Remove
6. Passenger's Dashboard Trim Panel - Remove
7. Glove Box - Remove
8. Keyless Access/TPMS Control Unit - Remove
9. ANC/Active Sound Control Unit - Remove
10.Sunlight Sensor - Remove
11.Dashboard Center Speaker Trim - Remove (For Some Models)
12.Dashboard Center Panel - Remove
13.Dashboard Center Middle Trim - Remove
14.Dashboard Center Lower Panel / Player Unit Assembly - Remove
- Remove the following items depending on the vehicle:
- Dashboard center lower panel
- CD player unit
- DVD player unit
- BD player unit
15.Audio-Navigation Unit Assembly / Audio Unit Assembly - Remove
- Remove either of the following items:
- Audio-navigation unit
- Audio unit
16.Dashboard Meter Visor - Remove
17.Gauge Control Module - Remove
18.Steering Column Cover - Remove
19.Dashboard - Remove
Driver's Side
Passenger's Side
- A-pillar area: release the harness (A).
- Gauge control module area: remove the harness clips (A).
- Center area: remove the harness clips (A).
- Glove box area: remove the bolts and the nuts , and then
remove the front passenger's airbag bracket (A).
- Glove box area: disconnect the connector (A).
- Remove the bolts (A, B).
- Remove the dashboard (A), and then remove the harness
clip (B).
20.All Removed Parts - Install
- Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
- If the bolt threads of the steering hanger beam are
stripped, replace the bolts with one-size larger bolts
(available as a service part), which are specifically
designed to tighten to the specified torque setting.
- Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure.
