Removal
1. Engine Oil - Drain
2. Under-Floor TWC - Remove
NOTE: Do not remove the front secondary HO2S.
3. Connector (CKP Sensor) - Disconnect
4. Oil Pan - Remove
- Remove the torque converter cover (A).
- Remove the transmission assembly mounting bolts.
- Remove the bolts securing the oil pan.
- Using a flat blade screwdriver, separate the oil pan from the
engine block in the places shown.
- Remove the oil pan.
Installation
1. Oil Pan - Install
- Apply liquid gasket to the oil pan mating surface of the
engine block and to the inside edge of the threaded bolt
holes.
- Install the dowel pins (A).
- Install the oil pan.
- Tighten the bolts in three steps; tighten the bolts until the
bolts sit on the oil pan, tighten the bolts until the gasket is
compressed, tighten the bolts to specified torque.
- Tighten the transmission assembly mounting bolts (A).
- Install the torque converter cover (B).
2. Connector (CKP Sensor) - Connect
3. Under-Floor TWC - Install
4. Engine Oil - Refill
