Honda Pilot: Rear Door Latch Removal and Installation

Removal/Installation

1. Rear Door Panel - Remove

2. Rear Door Pull Pocket Bracket - Remove

3. Rear Door Plastic Cover - Remove (as needed)

4. Rear Door Panel Barrier B - Remove (For Some Models)

5. Rear Door Inner Handle - Remove

1. Disconnect the inner handle cable (A) and the latch cable (B) from the inner handle (C).

6. Rear Door Latch - Remove

1. Remove the rear door rear lower sash bolt (A), and then remove the collar (B).
2. Remove the bolts (C) with a TORX T30 bit.
3. Remove the rear door latch through the hole in the door.

   NOTE: Be careful not to bend the cables (D).

4. Open the latch protector covers (A).

5. Disconnect the latch cable (A) and the inner handle cable (B) from the rear door latch (C).

7. All Removed Parts - Install

1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
