Heater Control
Second Row Seat Heaters
The second row seat heater control unit performs control to each set temperature (Low/Mid/High) based on the value of the built-in thermistor of the second row seat cushion heater.
Automatic Operation
Based on the outside air temperature, A/C target temperature, and other factors, the climate control unit calculates the optimal second row seat heater setting. The climate control unit sends this setting request to the second row seat heater control unit via B-CAN.
When operating in auto mode, the second row seat heater control unit will operate per the B-CAN setting request from the climate control unit.
Thermistor, Thermostat, and Breaker
The front seat cushion heater has a thermostat and breaker. The thermostat and breaker are protecting an overheat and seat heater circuit.
The seat heater temperature is controlled by breaker and thermostat ON and OFF condition.
The second row seat cushion heater has a thermistor and the second row seat-back heater has a breaker. The thermistor and breaker are protecting an overheat and seat heater circuit. Value of the thermistor is input to the control unit.
The seat heater temperature is controlled by breaker ON and OFF condition.
