Removal

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations, and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

1. Steering Wheel - Remove

2. Column Cover - Remove

3. Cable Reel/Steering Angle Sensor - Remove

4. Steering Angle Sensor - Remove

1. Remove the steering angle sensor (A) from the cable reel (B).

   NOTE: If reusing these components later, make sure to keep the original positions of the rotating parts as they were before the removal.

Installation

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations, and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

1. Steering Angle Sensor - Install

1. Position the two tabs (A) of the steering angle sensor (B) as shown. Install the steering angle sensor to the cable reel (C).

NOTE: When reinstalling used components, make sure to keep the positions of the rotating parts as they were originally kept.

2. Cable Reel/Steering Angle Sensor - Install

3. Column Cover - Install

4. Steering Wheel - Install

5. VSA Sensor Neutral Position - Memorize

6. Steering Angle Sensor Neutral Position - Clear
