Replacement
1. Reverse Idler Gear - Remove
2. Mainshaft Bearing - Remove

- To remove the mainshaft bearing (A), expand the snap ring
using the snap ring pliers.
- Push the mainshaft bearing out using the 15 x 135L driver
handle and the 80 mm I.D. seal driver attachment.
NOTE: Do not remove the snap ring unless it is necessary
to clean the groove in the transmission housing.
3. Mainshaft Bearing - Install

- Install the mainshaft bearing (A) in the direction shown.
- Expand the snap ring using the snap ring pliers.
- Insert the mainshaft bearing part-way using the 15 x 135L
driver handle and the 80 mm I.D. seal driver attachment.
- Release the snap ring pliers.
- Push the mainshaft bearing down until the snap ring snaps
in place around it.

- After installing the bearing, check that the snap ring (A) is
seated in the bearing and the housing groove, and that the
snap ring end gap (B) is 0-7 mm (0-0.28 in).
4. Reverse Idler Gear - Install

- Snap Ring Pliers 07LGC-0010100

- Driver Handle, 15 x 135L 07749-0010000

- Seal Driver Attachment, 80 mm I.D. 07VAD-P8A010A
