Honda Pilot: Second Row Seat-Back Cover Removal and Installation

Removal/Installation

1. Second Row Seat - Remove

2. Second Row Seat Recline Cover - Remove

3. Second Row Seat Armrest - Remove

4. Second Row Seat Armrest Panel - Remove

5. Third Row Seat Access Handle Trim - Remove (Without One-Touch Access)

1. Pull the handle (A).
2. Release the hooks (B) with a tip-tilt flat-tip screwdriver to remove the third row seat access handle trim (C).

6. Second Row Seat-Back Switch Trim - Remove (With One-Touch Access)

1. Carefully remove the switch trim (A).

7. Second Row Seat-Back Cover/Pad - Remove

1. Fold the seat-back forward.
2. Remove the seat-back board cover (A).

3. Remove the retainer (A) from the lance tabs (B).

NOTE:

• Use the appropriate tool from trim tool or flat-tip screw driver.
• Take care to prevent lance tab damage when disengaging the retainer.
• Lance tabs are at the edge of the seat-back.

4. Remove the backboard (A), and then remove the clip.

5. Remove the harness clip (A), and then disconnect the connector (B). (with seat heater)

6. Remove the clips (A). (left seat only)

7. Remove the head restraint guides (A).
8. Remove seat-back cover/pad (B).

8. Second Row Seat-Back Cover - Remove

1. Remove the upholstery rings (A).

2. Pull off the band (A) of the second seat-back cover/pad (B).

Left seat

Right seat

3. Remove the upholstery rings (A), and then remove the seat-back cover (B).

9. All Removed Parts - Install

1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

   NOTE: Replace all of the upholstery rings (A) fastening the seat-back cover (B) to the pad wires (C) with new ones using commercially available upholstery ring pliers (D).
