Honda Pilot: Tailgate Spoiler Trim Removal and Installation

Removal/Installation

1. Tailgate Upper Trim Panel - Remove

2. Tailgate Side Trim - Remove

3. Tailgate Spoiler Trim - Remove

With Power Tailgate

Without Power Tailgate

1. Remove the bolts (A, B) securing the tailgate spoiler trim (C).

   NOTE: Remove the wire harness grommets (D) as needed.

2. Disconnect the connector (E).

3. Release the outer tailgate spoiler trim clips with the clip release tool.

• Insert the clip release tool through the access hole in the tailgate.
• Position the clip release tool over the clip, and then carefully pull down on the tool's handle to release the clip.
• The illustration shows the left side. Perform the same procedure for the right side.

4. Carefully pull up the tailgate spoiler trim (A) to remove the clips (B) and to release the pins (C) of the clips (D) from the grommets (E).

   NOTE: The grommets will stay in the tailgate.

5. Disconnect the washer tube (F).
6. Remove the wire harness grommet (G) from the tailgate.

4. All Removed Parts - Install

1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
