Replacement
NOTE: Unless otherwise indicated, illustrations used in the procedure are for AWD.
1. Oil Seal - Remove

2. Mainshaft Bearing - Remove

- Remove the mainshaft bearing (A) using the 25-40 mm
adjustable bearing puller and a commercially available
3/8"-16 slide hammer (B).
3. Mainshaft Bearing - Install

- Install the mainshaft bearing until it bottoms using the 15 x
135L driver handle and the 62 x 68 mm bearing driver
attachment.
4. Oil Seal - Install

- Install the oil seal flush with the torque converter housing
using the 15 x 135L driver handle and the 72 x 75 mm
bearing driver attachment.
NOTE: Do not drive the oil seal into the torque converter
housing until it bottoms out, it will block the fluid return
passage and cause transmission damage.
Special Tool Required

- Adjustable Bearing Puller, 25-40 mm 07736-A01000B*

- Bearing Driver Attachment, 62 x 68 mm 07746-0010500

- Bearing Driver Attachment, 72 x 75 mm 07746-0010600

- Driver Handle, 15 x 135L 07749-0010000
*: 07736-A01000B must be used with commercially available 3/8"-16
slide hammer.
